No, the PdF Merit is not popular in Europe ;-) PdF even doesn't produce it anymore and replaced it with the Electra, a slightly semi-elliptical novice/intermediate canopy, and it's mixed ZP top surface and F 111 like the Silhouette.

Btw the Merit is known for hammer openings.

Yip as MarcusV says. . . . I've got an Electra, which is what replaced the Merit a while back.

A friend of mine was jumping a Merit 190. She did not comment on the opennings. I'm sure she would have said if they were very fast. . . . . Who knows?

Just to clarify: Parachutes de France quit selling to North Americans a long time ago.
It seems that Parachutes de France considers North America too high a liability risk.
The French have no desire to do business with repulsive, slimy, loathsome, bottom feeding, scum sucking American lawyers.
Does that description sound biased?
If any lawyers are offended by my description, GOOD.
Don't bother trying to sue me for slander because I am a poor professional skydiver.

What's Black and Brown and looks good on a repulsive, slimy, loathsome, bottom feeding, scum sucking American lawyer?
