G-8-13 Can't Post

We had some problems engineering this jump on the last NSL meeting.

How would you engineer it and what continuity plan does your team follow?

We did it as a slot switcher for Point and Tail

Interesting solution. How did it go? Any memory problems?

It actually works well. We had trained a similar dive earlier in the year to work on slot switchers, so this wasn't too big a deal. We walk the dive a bunch for P & T to get it in the heads.

We were going to take an alternate G, i.e the one that's right there with Tail and Point switched, then the long move back to a standard 8. Its seemed ok on the creepers as long as you choose the heading for the 8 carefully.

Unfortunately due to the great British weather we didn't actually get to round 6, the comp was called on 4 rounds.

With the point doing the cat? What was the plan for the exit?

Yes point on the cat, so on the close of the 13, OC does a 90 turn and the G is right there.

The exit was standard G then that was thrown away with the alternate G for the rest of the dive.

Interesting ideas. We ended up doing our regular G and 8, but we did a 13 starting with the tail heading the hammer and ending with point heading hammer. From that, there was just a quick flash for everybody and small movements for OC and point.

Re: [padu] G-8-13 [In reply to] Can't Post

once you get through the first 13, im sayin you slot switch inside and point, and slot switch outside with video. then once you get through the next 13, everyone go head down and pull by 3000'. let me know if you have any questions about this idea...
