Diablo 150 Slider Question... Can't Post

I haven't put a lot of jumps on other Aerodyne canopies but the canopy pictured has a slider with only one drawstring. It is quite annoying going slap slap slap and even moreso when I accelerate. The noise is annoying and let's not forget the accelerated wear.

Is this the original slider? Not 100% sure. I have scoured the Aerodyne website and can't even find an owner's manual.

At worse I can give Aerodyne a call but any wisdom here?

The factory slider on my older Triathlon also has only one kill line. It sucks. Newer Aerodyne stuff I have seen has two lines.

What's it doing at the top of your risers?

Pull the front end down lower than the back end, so that it's not edge-on to the wind. That will eliminate the flapping.

Re: [hackish] Diablo 150 Slider Question... [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, it is the original slider. They are the same as Triathlon sliders. On two of my 135's I replaced the slider with a larger two string slider for longer snivels and it quiets the flapping. I have another 135 Diablo with the original one string slider that I installed a pocket on the leading edge. This also gives a longer snivel and quiets the flapping.

And like already mentioned you can always pull it down over the risers and tuck it behind your head if you have softlinks or small rapides.

Also, I have the original Diablo owners manuals if you need a copy. It is the same manual for the Triathlon.

Re: Diablo 150 Slider Question... [In reply to] Can't Post

The rig does have mini-risers and slinks but I've never been that successful at keeping the slider behind my head. I've tried pulling the front lower but it never seems to stay.

I've only put about 15 jumps on this diablo but the openings are so exciting I sometimes forget to pull the slider down before popping the brakes. I love the way it opens so far and I'd rather not change that. Good to know the new ones have 2 strings.

If I can get it relined before I head to FL then maybe I'll see about that too. Wasn't successful at getting through to areodyne today unfortunately.
