Look up the Honda Airport if you're near Tokyo. Be prepared to dish out some cash though... it's pretty damn expensive. I never jumped there, as I didn't feel like taking a train for 3-4 hours to a DZ, but I was there for a year and I know the DZ's are expensive, and far and few between.

I was on Okinawa in 1980, while in the Marines. We used to "frag" the duty helicopter on Saturdays and jump up in the NTA. It worked out really well. We even got a big group together and flew all the way to Misawa to jump in their annual air show. (How about that -- I jumped in a demo when I only had about 45 jumps total!)

But to do this, you need to have someone with some rank jumping with you -- a few E3's or E4's won't get very far.

Never knew of any civilian DZ's while there, I sure hope that's changed.
