Does that mean by close of business tomorrow (1/9) since the 10th is not a normal business day? Will they have to do a little overtime Saturday if not complete? The USPA site advertises "Hours: 9- 5, Eastern Time", but does not note which days of the week are "business days."
When they cover their "notifying new and old board members" bit, is it normal to notify everyone of all results, or only weather that individual made the cut? It would seem to me that the simplest method to disseminate this information would be to simply list everything, and send it out to everyone in an email.
I wonder if every candidate has an email address. Seems that there are at least a couple of luddites on the current BOD, at least when it comes to communication through the internet.
So, nobody who might know is going to say whether we find out at 5:00 eastern time today, 5:00 eastern time tomorrow, or 5:00 eastern time Monday?
The count is complete and candidates are being notified. All Regional Directors who ran were re-elected. The rest will be posted on the USPA web site as soon as they can get it up. This is all I know at the moment.

I just received an email from Ed Scott to all of the incumbent Regional Directors. He congratulated us and explained that all incumbent RD's were re-elected (11 of 14, I believe). He also said that they are notifying National Directors right now and preparing a post to be publicized once all are notified.

'all were re-elected' and '11 of 14' does not compute? huh?

Um, it means that all 11 RD's who were running as incumbents were reelected and there were three regions for which there wasn't an incumbent candidate.
No update yet. I guess it will be next week before see the new/old faces up
Ed Scott told me (at about 2:45 Pacific time, when he called) that he expected to put the results up "within a couple hours." He was in the process of attempting to reach all the candidates prior to posting the results.
Well I got a call, and I didn't make the top 8. I didn't ask about anyone else, and I thank Ed for being gentle in breaking the news.
I can't say it's unexpected, I didn't have a huge amount of exposure. All in all it's been a pretty fun experience, and I plan to try again next term.
In the mean time I'm staying involved, so I'm going to keep going to meetings, and ask questions. I have to say I've been overwhelmed by the personal response, face to face, messages, and e-mails I've received over the past few months, some from people I've not talked to in years offering support.
I thank each and every one of you for taking the time to consider and/or vote for me.
Onward and upward we go, there is a new BOD to be seated, and work to be done.
I HIGHLY encourage anyone who can make the next BOD meeting in Reno, NV on Feb 6, 7, and 8th to attend. There should be a GMM (Group Membership Meeting) as well (I'd guess the late afternoon, or evening of the 7th?) if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to check with HQ.
For anyone who does not know the GMM is the MEMBERS meeting, and while we probably will not reach a quorum (10% or more of the membership i.e. 3500 people) it is not only a great way to get informed, have questions answered, build contacts, and quiz/grill the BOD, but I think it's important that members stay involved to help direct the path or this organization.
Once again, thank you to the members for getting involved, and see some of you in Reno.
Oh and if anyone is interested, I got a pretty good deal on a room just now at the Eldorado Resort. It's right next door to the Silver Legacy where the meetings are being held. In fact I think you can get from one resort to the other without even going outside.
Edit to add ... 3,503 votes. I think current membership is somewhere around 34,000 or 35,000 ... so it doesn't look like there was any increase in voter turnout.
