I've been lurking on the forums for over a year getting a daily fix of BillyVance's NSFW thread and thought I should finally introduce myself. I did my first static line jump in 1978. Just like most first time jumpers I loved it and assumed I would be a full time gravity rat and be a skygod within a year. However, living life got in the way.
Fast forward 31 years to my second jump. I went through AFF at Start Skydiving in Lebanon OH. (Great instructors, great facility). I used to get my kicks flying, but the FAA doesn't like to issue 3rd class Medicals to people who snore too much (sleep apnea).
The sport is fun - the people in it are great. I've been a SCUBA instructor for 20 years and can testify that skydivers work order, play harder, appear smarter, have whiter teeth (Nataly) and are a whole lot more fun to hang around with.
