He was a Military Intelligence NCO Hung himself yesterday after returning from Afghanistan and finding his wife is divorcing him and his son is gay. I wish someone would have known he was in such distress. Last name withheld for now.

Thanks, he was a very good guy and very courageous. For an Intel weenie(spook) he was spectacular. He was highly decorated as well, mostly for valor.

I could easily deal with it if he just got blown out of his shoes, soldiers die like that and it is a natural cause in that line of work. But this just guts me. He needed help and I wonder why the psych screening upon his return showed no distress. But then again he was a spook so he could have just faked them out. But some in his unit including his CO knew he had family problems. I guess in the end he chose to go out on his own terms. RIP Rob, all of us will see each other again on the other side.

One can only imagine his personal anguish in dealing with his return and its disgusting taunts, to me he chose to remove himself from certain confrontations and exhibited valor once again by giving life to those who may not have been worthy. Knowing he had the means and choosing personal sacrifice instead................. I have no lost concern for the spouses of active military who desert them while they sacrifice themselves for the sake of our great nation. Thank you for your service and sacrifice America is grateful!!!!!!

He actually went out of this world saving even more lives, he was an organ donor and he was exceptionally healthy. God bless his soul. Even if you do not believe in religion you can certainly understand my sentiment.
