Texas, nicknamed, "The Lone Star State" is where everything is bigger and better, according to Texans. This explains why skydiving in Texas is such a big adreanlin rush. This state is the second most extensive of the 50 states in the U.S and gets its name from the Caddo word “tejas” which means "friends" or "allies." The nickname Lone Star State signifies the fact that Texas was once a former independent republic and also serves as a reminder of the struggle it went through to attain independence from Mexico.
