Skydiving in Pennsylvania

Add New Dropzone

Skydiving in PA is a real treat and should not be missed, especially with all it's history. The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is also known as The Keystone State, and is located in the Great Lakes region and the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Pennsylvania borders six other states and is the only state that does not border on the Atlantic Ocean. Pennsylvania is named after the Quaker, Admiral Sir William Penn, whose son was the founder of the state. Pennsylvania means Penn's Wood.

The nickname, The Keystone State, cannot be traced to any single source, but it is widely believed that this nickname has its origins in a toast that was made at a Jefferson Republican victory rally in October 1802, where it was toasted as "the keystone in the federal union.”

The city of Philadelphia in PA is famous for being the birthplace of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.
