Due to year round good weather we are open from January to December and 7 days a week, bookings are every hour from 9:00 - 15:00. To make a booking let us know the date, time and your contact number. We are situated between Durban and Pietermaritzburg at Eston (2km from Tala Game reserve).
Durban Skydive Centre offers First Jump Courses, Display Jumps and Tandem Skydives, after a ground briefing you are taken on a scenic 20 minute plane ride up to jump altitude (8 000ft - 12 000ft).
You are then firmly attached to a qualified and experienced tandem instructor. We exit the plane and freefall for an exhilarating and unforgettable 45 seconds, then float to earth under parachute. During the 6 minute parachute decent you get the opportunity to fly the canopy. The instructor will take over for the landing. Everything is provided, you just need to bring closed-in running shoes. Maximum weight limit is 110kg's. We don't recommend the tandem skydive for children younger than 12 years of age.

DSC got me addicted!

Durban Skydive Centre Rated 5 by: calharding on 2011-12-07

Pros: Weather, location, scenery, professionalism
Cons: None

From my first tentative mails to Vernon, to my first jump encouraged by my great coach Nick, DSC and her staff and regulars made me feel welcome, safe, and exhilarated.

The beautiful location and year-round great weather make this a jumper's paradise. A sense of comraderie and professionalism make all jumpers and visitors feel welcome.

This DZ has officially become my home away from home.

rustic friendly professional coastal dz in durban

Durban Skydive Centre Rated 5 by: mlv on 2006-03-07

Pros: fab. dz and staff
Cons: ummmmm none . . . . . . . .

rustic dz only minutes up the north coast from durban, away from the throbbing masses, close to the beach and la mercy estuary.

staff professional and friendly and a pleasure to learn AFF (besisdes being scared stiff).
will return to jump again when finances allow, that said - learning in SA is cheap by world standards.
microlite flips on site an added bonus !!

Two trips in less than a year

Durban Skydive Centre Rated 5 by: etrier on 2005-05-12

Pros: Great Staff, Fun Friendly Crew, AWESOME LOCATION
Cons: Ummm...........Nope

On recommedation from a mate I headed to SA on holiday to take my AFF last October. Mark and Jodi were great instructors, Vernon was extremely helpful in planning my trip. In April I headed back again to party and skydive, trying to finish up my ISP's and A license...this time bringing two friends for their AFF. Dale, Jodi, Mark, Jono, and the rest of the guys made this trip an absolute blast. The skydiving was great, the people even better. A must stop in South Africa, and if you are coming from the US or UK to do your AFF the rates make it a very affordable way to take a holiday and get addicted.

My AFF experience!

Durban Skydive Centre Rated 5 by: Angie13 on 2005-04-15

Pros: People, amazing view, pretty much constant blue skies
Cons: What cons?

I am originally from SA but am now studying in England. Anyway I decided that when I went back home on holiday I would love to do my AFF there. From my first email to Vernon until the day I sadly had to leave I can't recommend them highly enough. Doing AFF back home and with such an amazing group of people has made my initial skydiving experience even better than I thought possible. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming...I may have started off a whuffo but by the end I really felt apart of the skydiving family. All the regulars were so encouraging and the packers rock. My instructors (Dale & Jodi) were awesome. Dale is exactly how I think a instuctor should be-professional,encouraging & overall there to help you learn to skydive well and safely! Thank you guys-I can't wait to come back and jump again! If you find yourself in SA...go jump at Skydive Durban!

The coolest DZ in SA

Durban Skydive Centre Rated 5 by: neiliss on 2004-06-28

Pros: Scenery, Staff, Training, Friendliness...
Cons: None at all

This is my favourite DZ so far. The staff and DZO Mark are awesome and the views over the North Coast of Kwazulu Natal are simply stunning. I would recommend this DZ to anyone for Tandem, AFF, Coaching or just awesome 2/3/4 ways over the Indian Ocean. The weather is warm all year round. This place simply rocks. The only downside for me is that I have to travel to Durban from Joburg to visit them as often as I can. I am already planning my next visit.
