I did my aff in this dropzone.
The dropzone has a very friendly atmosphere.
I had a lot of fun doing my aff there. My instructors where very professional and helped me a lot to relax on the way up. The weather in this region is very good and the view when you jump out of the plane is amazing , sparkling blue sea and a huge yellow beach !

Great DZ with sand dune landing area and great sorrounding facilities

Non-for-profit skydive club (2nd oldest in Spain) with offices at San Agustin air strip and DZ at Maspalomas sand dunes. Club has shuttle bus for skydivers. Marvelous scenery and great easy-going atmosphere.
Offers skydives for € 29 with Caravan that seats 14. It also works tandem skydives to finance club operating costs, done by experienced club members who are also AFF instructors (some USPA). Rigging services available.
Since its location is right smack in the middle of beach tourist area, you have a sheer endless choice of accomodation, dining, car rental and leisure & nightlife activity.
Since opening hours vary, I strongly recommend calling before showing up. You will really want to have jumped here, enjoying the sight of the island's mountains, the sand dunes, the sea and the nearby island of Tenerife. Breath-taking!

since dec.2006 the paraclub de gran canaria operate with to cessna 182 skylane.
Dropzone over the dunes from playa del ingles.

Not Sure What to Make of this Club

This club is based, along with Skydive Gran Canaria, at an airstrip near San Agustin (SE corner of Gran Canaria). Both clubs use the dunes at Playa del Ingles as their DZ. This club's facilities are virtually identical to Skydive Gran Canaria (see my review of that club), with one glaring difference : this club appears not to have any fixed-wing aircraft at present. How long this state of affairs is likely to continue, I'm not sure.

For the present, the club is using a helicopter for their skydives. The helo can carry 3 passengers, and each solo skydiver is charged EU50 for each jump (from 10.5K ft).

The club does not get on with the other skydive club next door ; consequently there is little or no co-operation between the clubs concerning the use of the Cessna 206 owned by the other club.

If you are a tandem jumper or a experienced jumper who has not done a rotary wing exit, by all means give this club a try. Otherwise I cannot, unfortunately, recommend this club until they get a proper skydive aircraft.

Incomparable zona de salto en las dunas de la Isla de Gran Canaria (sur). Es un placer que todo paracaidista deberia probar alguna vez
