Just what I was looking for in a 'home dropzone'

Endless Mountain Skydiving Rated 5 by: A-DZ on 2011-09-25

Pros: Super friendly & welcoming vibe, including for newbies and tandems
Cons: After summer season, may not be jumping every day of the week (though they will try!)

I live overseas and learned to skydive in Europe 4 months ago. When visiting home in September, I finally got a chance to jump in the U.S., and at a DZ just 20 miles from my mother's house: Endless Mountain Skydivers (EMS).

Tom Cavage, the DZO (with decades of experience), and the instructors there were incredibly welcoming, as were the packers and rigger who patiently helped me try to learn to pack my new rig. Load-organizing is automatic at EMS, and even quite experienced people were excited about jumping with me.

Their refurbished 57-year-old Beech is one of only a handful carrying jumpers in the U.S. It's comfortable and makes you feel like you're in a black & white movie.

Two highlights: they inspected by new rig the same day it arrived, and for free! And after spending a day there and watching me jump for the first time, my mom was so taken by the friendly and professional atmosphere, that she is way more supportive of me skydiving.

Though I only return home once a year, I'm already looking forward to jumping at EMS next summer.

safe and caring

Endless Mountain Skydiving Rated 5 by: tracylu on 2010-06-06

Pros: great people
Cons: none

I hadn't jumped for 2 years prior to visiting EMS - and that day with them reminded me of all I loved about this sport. They kindly and patiently made sure I was properly refreshed. Everyone watches out for each other and offers kind suggestions. I immediately felt comfortable and at home there. It's just such a fun, safe environment that I would highly recommend every level of jumper to visit EMS.

Endless Mountain Skydiving Rated 5 by: voodoojumper on 2009-10-04

Pros: Everyone at skydiveems is great. great view at 11,000 feet the moutians are beautiful. professional people with great in
Cons: Too far away from me i need to move down there

These guys and girls are awesome at ems. funny always like to joke but professional at the same time. I was doing AFF training over the summer and the instructors did an awesome job at ground school and freefall training couldn't ask for any better just wish I could have finished my AFF.
