Mismanagement does not describe begin to describe it

Skydive Great Lakes Rated 1 by: ronarchy on 2012-09-30

Pros: None
Cons: Unsafe, scam operation

Check reviews around the internet and look for various iterations of their name because they have several different published names on various sites. A short summary will tell you that we were 4 of over 40 people that waited anywhere from 6 to 8 hours and did not get to go up. We met some great people who had even worse stories than ours and even some who were rescheduled one or two previous times and for some reason trusted them and came back only to be disappointed again. Unfortunately, we did not do our homework until we were sitting there for hours. Also, we were cussed out and threatened with the police being called on us just for asking for our money back. This site says unsubstantiated reviews will be deleted so please write and I can provide ample amounts of proof and testimony from the other three that this information is in fact. Their scripted responses to all inquiries included claims that there were only two instructors left since one was injured earlier in the morning but was ridiculous since we could all see that there were five on hand. We already have heard from Google Offers that we will receive an immediate refund and are so grateful we aren't losing our money like all of the others that were on hand. The worst parts are that we called ahead to confirm our reservation from a month earlier and were told no problem and that we could even add two on to our reservation. There were already 30 angry people standing around! Actually, the fact that they took my friend's money for a video when they knew this was all going on and then freaked out when he asked for it back is probably worse than that. Finally, beyond the management issues, it appeared that there were many safety issues and an injured instructor just goes to prove the point.

Great place, highly recommended

Skydive Great Lakes Rated 5 by: Track28 on 2012-08-30

Pros: Great Location
Cons: can be busy at times (thats a good thing)

These guys are very professional, they know what they are doing and they will take care of you. From the minute you walk through the door and the pretty manifest girl smiles at you and gets you signed in, then you can chill in a nice enviroment until they get you all preped and ready to jump. Very friendly. I promise you will look forward to coming back.

New DZ with a fresh inviting vibe

Skydive Great Lakes Rated 5 by: brainstomp on 2012-04-17

Pros: Turbine! Go high or go home!
Cons: Indiana weather sucks...but if you wait it will change.

In reality this is an old DZ with a new operation. This DZ has been dormant and has waken again!
Great vibe and very inviting.
Looking forward to lots of jumps there.
