Nov 17,2012 I came to visit my best friend. She tells me by the way we are going skydiving tomorrow. The next morning we went to the airport and was greeted by one of the instructors Carlos. We filled out our waivers then headed to the hanger. At the hanger we met the other instructor Paul the packer Cody and the pilot Adam. My friend jumped with Carlos I jumped with Paul. Let me tell you Never in my life have I ever experienced a rush like that. Paul was AMAZING!! Hands down Skydive Canyonlands is by far the BEST place to go!! Very friendly and very professional crew!!

Thanks Paul, Carlos, Cody and Adam
You Guys Are AWESOME!!

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!
Me and My sister bought gift certificates for skydiving for our husbands birthdays. We planned the whole trip with her driving 7.5 hrs and me driving 4.5 hrs to get there. We setup the appointment for 1pm saturday and we called 2 days before to confirm that the appointment was still good. When calling we made sure to ask if there were any additional fees or anything and they of course stated no. We didn't do anything in the morning to make sure that we would be on time so we got there about 12:30 only to find out that the bars were down and everyone had gone home. Apparently (according to someone else in the airport complete unaffiliated with this company) they all went home because of the wind. Well, THANKS FOR THE CALL ....Jerks! they had gone home early in the morning and didn't bother to call or anything. Then my sister called the guy (Paul) and talked to him. He decided it was a great idea to say he did f'n call. Yes, he felt the need to swear at her after all this and was a complete jerk about the whole thing. Then he told her that they are rescheduling saturday's dives for sunday so we could go at 5:30am. We had little kids with us so asked if there was anything later even like 6:30am so we wouldn't have to wake up the kids that early. He told us that if we showed up at 5:30am then we would be first to go but if we waited any longer even 6:30 then we would be first come first serve and plan to wait up to 4 hours. So, we agreed to the 5:30am slot and ended up waking the kids up at 4am to get there on time.

Sunday: We showed up before 5:30am even before any of the staff showed up at the airport which was locked of course and stood out there waiting. Then they told the group that was there to follow them and we went back to the dock....stood around for a lil bit and the ones diving were instructed to watch an instructional video. After this they filled out the paperwork and we waited.....watched one after another go before our husbands.

we tried to ask different workers if they had any idea when the guys would go or even how many in front of them. They didn't answer instead just saying i don't know and walkin away over and over. So, we stood and waited, watching people who came in hours after us get put in front of our husbands.

At 9am the owner (Paul) finally walked over and was a complete jerk saying we could just go if we didn't want to wait. He wouldn't answer any questions just kept saying he was trying to do us a favor. We tried to explain why we were frustrated and he didn't want to listen. We tried to ask when the guys would go and he wouldn't answer just said he didn't know. We tried to explain about getting there at 5:30 and the lies and he said he didn't see us there. And then he said he would get the guys in their harnesses next well that didn't happen either. We watched as people who had gotten there at 8:30am were going and we were still not even told a time frame of when we could go.

After 4 hours waiting at the airport we finally decided to leave. We were lucky enough that we bought our gift certificates through a separate company and we will be going to anywhere but Skydive Canyonlands. The owner is the biggest jerk i have ever met and could care less about his customers. His staff is not much better. They act like you are a piece of dirt and could care less if you are happy or about anything you have to say. They just want your money.

I would strongly recommend to go to anyone other than these people. If you want to skydive in Moab I would suggest maybe looking into skydive moab or someone else. I've never personally dealt with skydive moab but we did talk to their guys a lil while we were being ignored by the skydive canyonlands staff and they seemed friendly. they actually greeted their customers and had seating for them. The guys seemed very friendly. FYI I feel the only reason the owner of skydive canyonlands even said a word to us is he saw us talking to the skydive moab people but I don't know that for sure. At any rate if you want to be treated like a piece of dirt then go through skydive canyonlands ....if not, go to anyone else. They are horrible.

I purchased a coupon for skydive canyonlands. I made the reservation four months ahead of time. When I called to confirm, Paul did not know who I was. He said to come anyway. We showed up at 7am. Turns out about eight other couples were there as well. We waited four hours to jump. Paul was great when we finally had our turn and he was personable with the other people. . . but when I spoke to him about putting us before others (because I had made the reservation four months ago, he told me we were last for the 7am group and he has been doing this for 25 years). He seemed a bit arrogant and disorganized and his communication with his clients was not good. If you don't mind waiting a long time he will give you a nice experience. Or come really early with your waiver forms already to go and you won't have to wait.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! I had a surprise skydive trip planned for my husband's 30th birthday that I had planned MONTHS in advance. We drove 4 hours and actually ended up getting there early so we asked if we could possibly jump early. The guy told me he's running a few minutes behind, but he'll be caught up by our jump time at 1:00. We get there at 1:00 and they told us they're still a little behind so we sat around and hung out at the airport. At 4:00 they got us suited up and told us there is just one other couple ahead of us. 4:30 rolls around and they tell us the plane's landing gear isn't working so we all have to go home. He offered a refund or to reschedule. No apology for wasting our day, no offer of a discount or ANYTHING to show that he was sorry for how thoroughly they SCREWED up our plans and my husband's 30th birthday present. Turns out I just spent $300 in gas for the truck and took vacation time from work to sit at an airport with a group of incompetent, unprofessional idiots... What I don’t understand is WHY THE HECK they couldn’t have just told us at 11:00 when we showed up that their 9am appointment still hadn’t jumped (yes, they were still waiting at 1pm when we got there..)and they are a few hours behind?! We could have done something fun then came back at 4 or 5.. That would have avoided so much frustration!!

I jumped Tandem With Paul, the owner. He was funny, yet professional. Safety is his number one goal for his customers, and having the time of your life is his second goal. During my experience I felt safe, and SERIOUSLY had the most fun I've ever had. If anyone goes and complains, it's their own fears and has nothing to do with this wonderful company. I recommend Skydive Canyonlands to everyone! It'a a chance of a lifetime..don't pass it up! My husband and I drove from Salt Lake City for this experience. It was worth every mile, every bit of money spent, and it will never be forgotten for the rest of our lives! I am so excited to see the video. Men, women, and anyone else, don't pass up this opportunity. INCREDIBLE. Thank Paul and crew!!!!

My Girlfriend and I had our first skydiving experienceing, each doing a tandem jump with Mr. Grey. We could tell his operation is a little smaller than the others in the area so that drew us towards him.

Paul was hilarious, which really helped us relax, although perhaps not all will appreciate with brand of humor. I thought it was going to be a lot more scary but didn't feel that at all. I'm still waiting to watch the video!

In addition, I can think of few places with as much great scenery to fly over as Moab UT

Paul is awesome. I recommend that everyone goes Skydiving with Paul Grey when they get to utah. This is the only place in utah i would recommend to my friends. There should be a statue of paul pointing to the sky in front of his DZ because that is where he shines. He has a great sence of humor and he made me feel good inside when he strapped himself to me and then we got in the plane and went skydiving. All joking aside you will not be dissapointed going skydiving with paul. You Rock Paul

Went for my first jump with Mr Gray and had the time of my life. He felt so competent in his ability and I felt so secure with him that I recently took 3 of my children to skydive at Skydive Canyonlands. The other 2 will go in August!!!! He definitely knows skydiving and that's whose hands you want to be in up there.
