Stl is great all around Dz. With something for every jumper

Skys The Limit Northeast Skydiving Center Rated 5 by: jmvmd on 2014-09-22

Pros: Great turbine aircraft(3). Very experienced jump pilots, safety 1st management. Polite very helpful staff
Cons: No well defined camping arae

I have been going to STL for 8 years. I have over 2000 skydives and have jumped at DZ's all over the country. Their safety record and lack of incident reports speak for itself. Their staff from pilots, manifest, instructors and videographers are some of the best in the industry. This review is in rebuttal Ms. Stam's review "Just not worth it". This person chose to write a negative review because she was told there are no dogs allowed in hangar area. She went on to characterize the staff as rude and aggressive. She neglected to mention that i tracked her down to find out if there was any way i could help her with her Dog. I was told she was a fellow jumper, so being both a veterinarian and a skydiver i extended my hand to her and offered my air conditioned trailer(that was less than 1000 feet away) and any other service that would make her and her dog more comfortable. She mindfully declined all of my offers and instead chose to write a negative review. Regretfully, Jon Monschein V.M.D

Just not worth it

Skys The Limit Northeast Skydiving Center Rated 2 by: MelanieStam on 2014-09-15

Pros: Nice airplanes, load organizing
Cons: Aggressive, rude staff; not allowed to stay at night

No matter how excited I am about whatever is going on at STL, they usually manage to make sure I have a bad time. I kept assuming I was catching staff on bad days, but I just don't think it's worth it any more.

Great home-town DZ experience

Skys The Limit Northeast Skydiving Center Rated 4 by: TheBurrito on 2014-08-27

Pros: Great staff & instructors, equipment and planes
Cons: None

I was down at the opposite end of the runway flying some R/C planes and helis and after watching 2 loads go up I figured why the hell not. (I've wanted to jump for years)

This was on a day when a large-ish group of bartenders from NYC were visiting and it was a busy day. Given that, they got me through the waivers and briefing as quick as they could and from start to finish I was in the air about an hour - 1.5 hours after I walked in.

Roaming around before the hop, I was taking an interest in one of their aircraft that was in the hangar for some maintenance. Nearly immediately one of the staff comes up and starts talking to me, encouraging me to ask questions. They certainly enjoy their jobs and want others to enjoy the whole experience as well.

Joe Riz was my tandem and he was a hoot! Since East Stroudsburg was my hometown we chatted about local stuff, told lots of jokes, and enjoyed the ride up in the plane. We had a great ride back down and Joe pulled some great spirals for me. (Actually he help ME pull some crazy spirals!)

Immediately upon returning back to Texas I found a DZ and signed up for their full A license package. After such a great first experience I cannot wait to get my A and head back there to jump solo and hang out with everyone!

Amazing Drop Zone

Skys The Limit Northeast Skydiving Center Rated 5 by: AaronD on 2013-07-16

Pros: Just about everything
Cons: No food?

Love this drop zone. Of the few DZs in my area, this is my favorite, even though its a bit more of a drive for me. There are always people here, always coaches on hand, and EVERYONE is really friendly. Very well organized DZ and great manifest. Big and FAST planes that get you up to alt. fast. They always go up to 13,500-14,000 which ive found to be more and more rare these days. Surely you wont be disappointed. Great for fun jumpers and tandems alike. Always a big mix of both which is what makes a good DZ. Lots of excitement around and lots of dirt diving going on.

Friendliest staff, awesome instructors, gorgeous DZ. closest to NYC

Skys The Limit Northeast Skydiving Center Rated 5 by: Skynet on 2012-05-29

Pros: Everything about this place is Awesome. Best Videos I've Seen.
Cons: None whatsoever.

Let me start off by saying that this Dropzone is Amazing, and the best DZ closest to NYC. Staff, instructors, facility, fun jumpers, packers, everybody is so cool, and friendly, the vibe is ridiculously great. BEST VIDEOS I'VE SEEN.

I've been to almost all Dropzones close to NYC, and some of them even brag about 13,500ft. Got 13,500ft? when in reality they take you up only 11,000ft. So sad. Well at "Sky's the limit" they don't need to brag about it because they simply take you up to 13,500 ft. The Dropzone also throws parties every now and then so you get to hang out with everyone, including the owner Jeff who is also a really cool guy.

I'm currently going through my AFF. My Instructor: Serena Paul is Amazing, she's funny, outgoing, highly knowledgeable, sweet, and goes out her way to make you feel comfortable. I'm actually a very lucky guy because i had two gorgeous girls as my instructors Serena Paul, and Ana Aponte Who is also super sweet and, cool, and crazy. the thing is every one there will help you, all the other instructors will give you tips, they also offer to take under their wing to teach you all they know and, mold you into the skydiver you want to become. Sky's The Limit Has Become My Home Dropzone.

Chad Cogburns Instructor Words: Dude you see all these people here? we're a family, and you're part of this family now. :)

Blue Skies.
