We were on a road trip for military training and wanted to swing by for one jump. the people were great and the location was wonderful! Only downfall was we were in a huge rush to get back on the road, waited an hour for a packer to pack our rigs, and ended up walking out because she failed to tell us how long it would be/students and tandems were ahead of us. Needless to say we threw our unpacked rigs in the trunk and went on our way.... It would be a great place to hang out for the weekend but not for a quick jump.

We sent the DZ a message we would be coming to their dropzone and where we were from. They opened the facilities for us and made us feel welcome.

Everyone on the staff was exceptionally courteous, and took time to make us feel welcome. All smiles and laughs while checking our books and gear.

Had to laugh a little when I opened the door on one load on the red light and when I leaned out to take a look at the spot heard the local jumpers shouting not yet. They new my jump numbers and were just looking out for me!
Great fun, my friends and I will be back!

Im a new jumper with only 40 jumps under my belt, but from the second I got the DZ everyone was extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. The facilities are awesome and the landing area is huge and grassy! The plane was great and the view was awesome too, could actually see the Gulf on the ride up. The DZO Leanne was amazingly friendly from the start, even took it upon herself to ask if I wanted someone to jump with and then went and found me two great guys, Dennis and Bill, to go do a 3 way with. I was blown away with the hospitality, professionalism, and over all quality of this dropzone and the people that go there. I'm from Idaho and they weren't lying when they bragged about their Southern Hospitality. Can't wait to make it back down there!

This was my first time in a plane, and my first tiny skydiving. The appreciated that, and made it an experience to remember. You're embraced with the sense of safety and professionalism, which is most definitely a feeling you want to have, especially at 14,000 feet. The people their make you feel like family, and take their jobs serious. The facility is far nicer than I expected it to be. I am already recommending friends and family to come dive. I know I sure will be going again! Thanks Gold Coast for everything...see ya soon!!!

I’m writing this only as a rebuttal to a review from August 28th 2012. Small Plane? Did they have a 182 filling in for the day? Every time I’ve jumped there is was almost always a Twin Otter or something with about the same lift capacity. Unless that particular jumper is at a DZ with a C-130 I have no idea what on earth he or she is talking about. Anyway, if you’re thinking about paying a visit to Gold Coast you won’t be disappointed. Great people, GREAT PLANE with a new paint job from what I understand, Snack Bar, Camping, clean restrooms, good size landing area, knowledgeable staff with a nice rounded contingent of fun jumpers. What I’m mean by that is it isn’t over run by just one discipline. Mike Igo used to own and operate it, God rest is soul, he was a great man and he ran in my opinion one of the most well oiled machines in the industry. He must have been a great teacher because the place hasn’t lost a beat since his passing. The next time I’m around South Mississippi I will be jumping at Gold Coast Skydivers.
