My name is Kenny Harner and I went skydiving in middle town Ohio and it was the best thing I have ever experienced in my life you fall for 45 seconds from 11,000 feet or so and reach speeds of 130 mph and then have a short 5 minute ride to the ground after the shoot is pulled. I was impressed how knowledgeable and professional the instructors were that mad for a both fun and safe time. I can't wait to go again!

I hope this helps; Kenny Harner

My name is Nicholas Sturckler and I went skydiving at middle town Ohio and it was the best thing I have ever experienced in my life. The instructors were very professional and helped me learn how to be safe and have fun at the same time. It's a great way to let go of everything and anything in your life that may be weighing you down when your 11,000 feet in the air your little issues in you life that seem important disappear and you experience true peace and I can't wait to do it again!

hope this helps Nicholas Sturckler

I loved AerOhio. It's the second DZ i've been to and it was 10 times better than the first and is now my home DZ. I wish they were open on Mondays but thats a small inconvenience considering almost nobody else gets mondays off like myself. You won't be dissatisfied so come check it out.

Super experienced and friendly staff. If you've ever wondered about skydiving this is a great place to start. They usually fly a cessna caravan but also bring in a skyvan for a couple weekends each season. The dz is surrounded by fields, so there are plenty of outs. Relaxed and chill atmosphere. Definitely a great place to jump.

I received my license last year at this drop zone, and couldn't ask for a better place. When I first started skydiving I thought like most sports if your the new guy, your treated like the new guy. But, from the time I arrived I was proven totally wrong.

The people at this drop zone are not the only reasons why this is my home drop zone. Safety is taken very seriously, and when someone has questions or does something wrong, there is always someone there to help out or correct the situation.

The drop zone also has food cooked to order, at the cutaway cafe trademarked and operated by someone who I think would much rather be jumping.

Oh, and just a quick note when reading through the reviews there was one about the rigs being to small, well I just have to say I have seen some big guys jump those rigs, and they didn't look snug. I mean they have up to a 290 sq ft. canopy how small could the rig be.

Anyway, drop zone is great if you live in Ohio you should definitely make your way out here.

I would recommend this above Cleveland skydive center any day, they are way more professional, and the caravan they jump is a lot better than those stupid 182s.

I went to AerOhio because I was home for the weekend and wanted to jump. I had never been there before. Everyone there is cool, and the DZO personally welcomed me and hooked me up with some R/W guys. They too were very friendly and welcoming. The drive from Cleveland is 35 minutes. It is in farmland with LOTS of outs. I was travelling light and didn't bring a helmet, I intended to rent one and the DZO was kind enough to let me borrow one. I met some nice guys doing R/W and we made about three jumps. The spots were all good with no problems making it back even when I burned up 1,000 feet looking for the DZ in the wrong direction. The landing area is soooo big that if you land far out they will come and get you in the DZ golf cart. The jumpship is a Caravan which is plenty roomy and just slow enough to let you really get acquainted with the local jumpers on the way up. Everyone wanted to chit-chat and introduce themselves. I'm glad that I went, and will go back again and again. The only reason I did not give the DZ all 5's is because I don't particularly like porta John's but that wont stop me from going back. They even have a little place for kids to play,...nice touch.

I must admit first that I am new to skydiving....
I have checked out other dz's while trying to get up the courage to make my first jump. All the other dz's i looked at did not even compare. Aerohio made me completley comftorable with everything and i am gald to say I jumped there. I will definatley be returning and plan on making many more jumps.

I arrived without my rig and they not only rushed the re-pack from the reserve ride the day before on the rental, they also "accomodated" me very well(thanks Sherry and Linda...).

I look forward to returning there every time I go home for a visit.

I wasn't impressed with this DZ and won't return. The list of cons is so long, I don't have the time to list details!

While visiting a friend in clevland, I needed to kill some time. Drove the hour down to Aerohio and it was worth it!!!!!

I've been to many high profile dropzones lately, and really grew tired of the cold vibe, "hi, where ya from? Thats cool...bye" That did not happen here. I arrived and was quickly introduced to the two other fun jumpers there at the time. After a very through DZ briefing (some say it is difficult to spot the DZ), we began planning our four way. I did not even have to ask!!!

By the time the pilot showed up, one tandem and one AFF showed up, and guess what? ...WE TOOK THE OTTER!!! 8 people in an otter is pretty wild for me!

The whole way up, the staff was pointing out landmarks to help me find my way. To be honest, I can understand how one could become confused finding the DZ, but don't sweat it. Just watch the others on your load after deployment if you become desprate.

On the next jump 2 people volenteered to help me sit fly. They were very safty consience, all while helping me get in the air to learn.

After it was all said and done, they even invited me to dinner! That blew me away! Had alot of fun with them that night. Even was invited up for the next weekend. They really made me feel at home.

If your anywhere in ohio, make the drive. Great people at that dropzone! I for sure will head back there!

The staff & owners are exceedingly professional and friendly. Coach jumps are formalized in writing delineating each point of performance, but most of those "Coach" rated don't charge for more than the slot. A down to earth, easy-going atmosphere that's like a Cessna DZ that just happens to have a turbine. I was welcomed, embraced, introduced around and immediately accepted into doing group jumps. RW'ers & FF'ers get along well, jumping together, filling loads with each other. Give yourself about five jumps to really recognize where the DZ is from altitude. Allow others from the DZ to spot for you for the first few jumps. Everything is flat and green with few landmarks. Fellow skydivers recognize this and point out little things to help you get used to the layout. If you're in the Cleveland/Columbus area, it's a great place to jump even if you have one day.

Professional and skill-diverse staff. Welcoming , open atmosphere. Owner , Sherry, participates in most loads, organizing, instructing AFF or static line students ,taking still and videos of jumpers engaged in various activities , from tandem jumps to intricate formations. The food from the concession stand is very good, the facilities and grounds are clean, and maintained in a way that reinforces the perception of an organization that is professionally managed at every level. Manifest is highly efficient, loads are filled and scheduled even during extremely busy periods. A place to feel welcome, feel safe and enjoy.................

I drove out on a Saturday morning with only time for 1 jump and a repack. I was treated with exceptional courtesy although the waiver was a lot to wade through. I was given a pre-jump brief using thier aerial photo and a really great guy by the name of Craig came looking for me. He offered to do some RW and stayed with me through the entire process. I felt like I was home. Their Caravan is a really great plane and the ride was very pleasant. I'm going again, often!

AerOhio is a very open, clean facility. The DZOs (Tim & Sherry) were EXTREMELY accommodating & friendly.... I wish I could say the same for the rest of the DZ. During my 5 hour stay there, ONE PERSON bothered to approach me (& that was for a simple "hello, I'm Gary"). I realize that I could've approached people as well, but did not feel any sort of inviting vibe from anyone but the DZOs.

Although the DZ is exceptionally safe, I found it to be unfriendly & therefore, would hesitate to return.

"Safety! Safety! Safety!" is all you'll hear from day one of AFF class. You know what? THATS GOOD! To the DZ staff, safety can't be stressed enoughed. The staff is of the most compitant, friendly, fun-oriented group I've seen yet out of numerous DZ's I've been too. They really take you in to their "family" even though you're a newbie--right down to the weekly emails of whats goiing on and to check on you. Special thanks go out to Sherry, Tim, Dave, and Sue 4 the outstanding training and fun so far. Can't wait to get back up. Its worth the 3 1/2 hour drive!

I just started skydiving and did my first three AFF levels in one day at AeroOhio. They are great. They love to take you to at least 13000 feet, and usually 14000 or better. They move fast, manifest gets the plane up as often as possible so you can get as many jumps as you want.
They wanted to make sure I had the safest skydive while maximizing my fun. They do not treat you like a customeror a newbie but like you belong no matter how new you are. My wife and three kids spent the day with me there while I jumped and everyone made them feel like part of the family. They also give you free rental gear while you wait for your new gear to come in if you purchase through them. They are two hours away from me and worth every bit of the drive.

This is definitely one of the best dz's I've been to, everyone there is a great big family, they take care of each other and love newcomers. Every staff member is a very very talented jumper and wants to help students and other jumpers. It is a dropzone aimed at the love of skydiving not just a business; everyone is great from the pilot to the dzo to the packers and of course all the regulars. the facilities are also great for being in the middle of cornfields! I'd definitely drive a distance for this dz over another

Aerohio is one of the best dropzones I have been to. Their super otter is very fast and they will not hesitate to send it up before the C-182. The people there are very friendly. People will approach you to get on a formation if you are by yourself, and coaches abound. Exit altitudes of 14000 or even higher are very common. They just bought brand new student equipment as well. The DZO will just about bend over backwards to make you happy. When the runway was still too soggy to use, she had us shuttled over to a nearby paved airport to take off. Exit order is always figured out before the plane is loaded so there is no last minute shuffling as the door is opening, and the spots could never be better. The only downsides are the port-o-johns and the occasional smell of fertilizer drifting from the nearby farms. I would drive well out of my way to go to Aerohio over other DZs in Ohio.

Over labor day weekend of 2002 a few of us decided to give skydiving a try. A friend of mine who used to jump with the Golden Knights recommended Aerohio. We decided to give it a try. I decided to do a Tandem. The instructors were very helpful and explained everything in great detail about what was going to happen. I was very nervous before I got there but they made me feel at ease. It turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. After that day I was there about 2 and sometime 3 times a week. I'm now licensed and waiting for this Ohio weather to warm up for another season of skydiving.

What a great little DZ! The DZO was great. She was on top of everything. The staff was quite good - great bunch of flyers. Some excellent RW going on. Not much in the way of free-fly. Not sure if they had just fertalized the nearby fields, but it stunk to high heaven! I mean pee-you, plug your nose to 5-grand kind of smell. I was glad that sweet Otter they have climbs so fast.

I stopped in for a visit and a few jumps the other day, and had the time of my life. I found the staff and the "regulars" to be equally friendly and helpful, and had no trouble getting in on 8 and 9 ways with some very talented jumpers. Despite the steady pace (jump, pack, jump, pack, ...), the atmosphere was one of fun and relaxation. And there was plenty of activity to watch (turf surfing, etc.) in between loads. This is a first class operation, and I plan on going back again soon.
