Review of: Springo in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Sweet sweet sweet
Cons: No such thing with a Springo

I’ve been jumping a Springo 140 for a while now..... Guess you have heard this all before but nothing else I can say...GREAT openings, nice smooth turns, can get good speed in flight, flare is amazing! All in All if ur looking at buying a Springo you will no be disappointed!!!!

Good canopy for everything except swooping.

Review of: Springo in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Openings, in-flight characteristics.
Cons: Way too short recovery arc

Background: Started jumping a Springo 140 loaded at 1.4 at about 220 jumps up untill I had 350 jumps.

The openings are really nice and consistent, using about ~700 ft, not as much snivel as a Stiletto, but the slider comes down real nice and slow. You can make the canopy open 90 degrees off-heading to either side using harness inputs troughout the opening.

It's trimmed fairly flat, and using brakes you can stay up in the air forever. It's very responsive to toggles input, more so than a similarely sized Stilletto.

The only thing I dislike with the Springo is it's recovery arc, which is very short, making it a lot more difficult to gain enough speed for a good swoop, even with 270degrees hook turns.

If you want to swoop/learn swooping I would not recommend Springo... every other part of the canopy's characteristics are great.

Sprigo a year around adventure

Have been jumping my 140sq.f. for over two years now, in all kind of temp's (winter like summer) from Bjorli, Norway (up to -20'C at 10000f) to Perris Valley and Quincy, US (hot like h#"$ below 15000f).

It's like a Porche 911, safe, smoth and nice - and a heck of a ride if YOU like to have a rodeo.

My one and only choice - for lifetime!

Springo

Twitchy little sucker, this one, not for the novice, because you have to work when landing it. It comes in 120, 140 and 160 sizes, as opposed to the Merit or Electra (150, 170, 190) and as an elliptical is very crisp in the turns. Not as extreme as, say, a Stiletto, but a canopy you should treat with a bit of care - especially if you're not jumping regularly. Doesn't have the nut crunching openings of the merit, but then again it doesn't have the forgiving stability of the Electra.
