Pros: Great fit, very comfortable, looks good, solid.
Cons: Small design flaws & costumer service

I got my Matter Pro Concept Freefly suit second hand from someone who ordered it in 2003, but didn't receive it before she quit skydiving altogether. Maybe that tells you something about the company.

Even if it's not sewn for me, it fits me great and is really comfortable to wear, both in the air and on the ground. It's also very easy to fly and is great for beginners. The tough cotton fabric didn't break in my big faceplant incident, even if my skin did (it was just some nasty looking grazed elbows, nothing serious). It also looks good.

The male velcro will eat the spandex if you don't take care to get it out of the way when washing the suit, and there's a lot of velcro on this one. Cotton also slows down small jumpers like myself, and slick nylon would be a better choice.

Other than that, I like the suit, but I'd probably get a Sonic or a Boogie man if ordering new.

So I recently tried ordering a pro-concept suit and things started off bad from the very first email. The company failed to provide a simple order confirmation email after several requests for proof of purchase. Then there were some transaction issues with my bank that I tried very hard to smooth out with MATTER. They did not acknowledge any of my questions regarding the problems I was having and did not promptly return emails either. Most of their emails did not even make sense because they were almost unrelated to my emails sent. My bank stated that there was a block on this charge because the company had a very high fraud risk score and was automatically blocked for suspicion. What does that tell you? Probably that there have been patterns like this in the past to give them such a reputation. After weeks of trying to communicate and smooth out this problem, even after being warned by my bank, they still failed to work things out. They simply stated," send money to this numbered account, we'll handle the rest." How sketchy is that? I lost all hope and stated I wanted to stop business and cancel. After acknowledging this email, they still charged my card 2 weeks later! So now I have to cancel my debit card to prevent further charges from them, then wait to get a new one (which means not having a debit card for a week). I also have to dispute the charges and wait weeks for the money to be put back into my account. All this hassle just to try and pay these guys. Most horrible customer service I have ever dealt with. Do not deal with this company. I beg you. Just read the reviews in this very gear section and make up your own mind.

Forget the shipping time...

Pros: Nice suit...
Cons: Absolutely no custom service

I wanted a nice custom suit and some friends jumped with the MATTER pro concept suit and it looked nice. Money was not the issue but I didnt want to pay for the rush order. When I ordered it I recieved a notice that the delivery time was 5 weeks. One day after the order they charged my VISA card. After 7 weeks I send an e-mail asking about my order.

After 9 weeks I recieved an e-mail saying that they already have contacted me and that they were on vacation and that they were out of my color so they had to order it. But promised to sned the suit the week after. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HEARED FROM THEM!

After now 11 week I still have not received my suit and have not heard anything about why it is delayed.

End conclusions: Do not recommend them! Buy Deep-seed or something similar. You pay less and deliver faster and get more or less the same suit. If it wasn't for that they already have charged the suit I would have cancelled it after 7 weeks and ordered a suit somewhere else...
To bad on a realy nice suit!

Pro concept freefly suit

Pros: Looks cool
Cons: Poor fit. Sloooow delivery. Crappy service

In spite of a promised delivery time of 8 weeks, it took more than 12 weeks before receiving the suit from Empuriabrava in Spain.

The suit had been custom made according to numerous very specific measurements taken and submitted through the on-line form, but nevertheless it did not fit at all.

My team mate and I complained through email and were told that we had taken the wrong measurements, but Matter also agreed to alter the suits.

The alteration took over 10 weeks to complete and the return shipment from Spain to Denmark apparently took 2 weeks (if they were in fact shipped when Matter claims they were). All in all the process lasted almost half a year, which is definitely waaaay to much for a product of this quality.

In short: looks great! Crap quality and lousy, lousy service (unless you are a World class team under Matter's wings).

Definitely do not recommend!

Horrible Customer Service

The Customer Service with this company is piss poor - I have been dealing with a distributor - Pacific Skydivers - Completely difficult process - They changed the delivery date 3 separate times - I ordered a RUSH Order - They told me (After they charged my C.C) - That it would be pushed back 4-6 Weeks - Then they never gave me a $60 refund for the "RUSH" that I paid for - (they originally promised me to have the suit ready in TWO WEEKS !!!!)
I don't trust them - and do not trust any delivery times � they will all be broken
And paying $60 for a RUSH order is just pissing your money away �
They do not meet the two weeks as promised on their website for a Rush order on a Classic FF suit!

Go with another MORE customer friendly Company -

Pros: Nice suit, nice material.
Cons: Customer service, maybe the fit.

Nice suit (the fit is maybe a bit tight despite them insisting i went for the loose one - I dread to think what would have happened had i stuck with my 'fitted' choice). Still, it's a very nice suit. They look the business and the build quality appears to be good (slight unstitching on the pocket though).
I'd gladly buy another matter suit, if it wasn't for the 'Matter' bit. So, what was the, ahem, matter...?

Despite paying for rush delivery, it still took weeks before i'd heard...nothing. When I chased it, they claimed it was shipped ages ago and must have got lost in the post. The events the followed (and the postmarks) indicate that that was almost certainly BS. Well, at least I got it in the end - though without the free freefly pants that were meant to be included. Ohhh well. I chased them and the pants arrived. Wrong colour. Rather than refund the rush order surcharge, i got a lousy free t-shirt that was too small (you had my measurements, right?).

So I've got super delayed 'rush order' suit, freefly pants that were only delivered when i reminded them (and even then in the wrong colour) and a t-shirt that makes me look camp. Woohoo. Thanks Matter. I like the suit, but next time I'm definitely going elsewhere.

Pros: Quality of suit is Amazing!!!
Cons: Shipping time is AWEFUL!!!

If it wasnt for Curt and Frida helping me out and being so friendly i might of cancelled my order.. It took 16 weeks to get my suit after i was told 6-8weeks, and i still didnt get my full order..My suit fits wonderful and i plan on jumping it for years.. But as a Matter of fact this company needs some customer relation skills if there gonna take that long on there orders.. i wrote the company 2 times to ask when or how was my order coming along and no responses were given..So to all who expect a fast delivery time.. GOOD luck..lol but the suit is definitely QUALITY gear..D-23329
