TSE Teardrop SF

Review of: TSE Superfly Tear Drop in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Style, comfort, price, materials, build quality
Cons: Historical problems cause ignorant and unfounded bad press in the product

I have been buying Teardrops since 1990 and have always been impressed with the build quality of all of the ones I have bought. The style of the container and the manufacturors refusal to stand still where innovation is concerned makes TSE the brand to buy. Coupled with the product is a superb customer relationship that can't be matched, Thomas Sports make you feel part of the family.

Review of: TSE Superfly Tear Drop in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: very well priced.
Cons: some bad drop zone publicity. pop tops not too poular.

well having recently had a near death experience I can say i would never jump anything that has a reserve pin on the outer side of the container.
I had a mid air collision with a friend who had a prem reseve opening. I passed through it and had his lines wrapped around the container and parted as i cleared. The evidence on the ground was that my container had friction burns all over it from his suspension lines and had some tearing. Anyway I firmly belive that a less well proteted reserve pin would have been torn off and left me in a very bad situation as during the collision my main had deployed. pop top saves my life despite needing a new container.
both of us walked away from this one and both learned some valuable lessons. ts sf is the best rig on the market- bar none, despite what the gossip is.

Best rig, I've ever owned
Rated by: bgroehl on 2002-11-24 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: TSE Superfly Tear Drop in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Good Quality, fair Price
Cons: Packing the reserve is a bit more complicated than Vector-style rigs

The Teardrop SF ist one of the best containers/harnesses on the market. I like the Type8/Type8 main web make. It has a much softer feeling than the usual Type7/Type8 or Type 13 (Racer) fabric.

Review of: TSE Superfly Tear Drop in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Superb Bit of Kit
Cons: None

Quite simply a superb bit of kit. Especially considering the low price, compared to a Mirage or a Javelin.

Great container !!
Rated by: SkydiveMonkey on 2002-08-20 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: TSE Superfly Tear Drop in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Excellent all round
Cons: None I can think of

This rig is great - riser covers are solid as a rock (and they go all the way down to just above the rings unlike most), pin and bridle cover is excellent, and the harness is very comfortable, especially with hip rings. Looks great with the stainless steel as well.
