Excellent Suit
Rated by: outlawphx on 2005-10-14 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Quality, Price, Delivery Time
Cons: Nada

When shopping for a freefly suit, I looked at most of the manufacturers, and I quickly narrowed it down to Body Suit, Flite Suit, Firefly, and Michigan. I liked the reputation of Flite Suit, but it was the most expensive and had a 6 week delivery time with no rush available. Firefly also had a great reputation and low price, but they were backed up 8 weeks or more. Body Suit had a good delivery time and low price, but I wasn’t very impressed with the quality of their RW suits and had heard their freefly suits were built similarly.

I couldn’t find anyone that had anything but good things to say about Michigan Suits, and I’ve seen Michigan RW suits that were very well built. On top of that, the price was right and the quoted standard delivery time was only 2-3 weeks. I called and talked to Mike Michigan about what I wanted before I ordered, and he was very friendly and helped me decided what cut and material I should use based on my shorts & t-shirt fallrate.

The suit only took 3 weeks from order to delivery. It fits great, and it looks really well built. The double Velcro closures on the wrists and ankles were standard and look bulletproof. All of the seams are finished on the inside and outside, so I’m sure this suit will last. I've owned RW suits from Bev Suit, Tony Suit, Flite Suit, and Body Sport, and this is the best built suit I've owned.

Michigan Freefly Suit
Rated by: bodhibody on 2005-08-28 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Perfect fit, built to last, looks great...
Cons: None

Suit fit like a glove, I was amazed. Looks like it will last a long time. Very well made, sturdy construction. Best suit I have seen on the market. Some other considerations...company has been in business for many years, lots of experience making suits. Owner is the founder of freestyle skydiving, his suit is used by the founder of freeflying, Olav Zipser...enough said.

Pros: Workmenship
Cons: None

I have been buying Michigan suits for over five years and have gone thru different styles and colors and the Michigan suit has never let me down no matter what kind of skydiving I am doing. The last no matter the punishment you give them. The fit and the flyability of any of the Michigan suit mades it a must check out on my books.I will continue to purchase Michigan suits in the future.

Freefly Suit
Rated by: flycurt on 2004-03-25 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Quick Service, Quality Construction, Great Fit and Lookin' Good!
Cons: none

Well, it took Mike Michigan's suit great looking fit to pull my other suit from my clamped grip. Bottom line - the suit kicks butt in every way I looked at it. Not only that, I was expecting an overnight package to arrive on friday. I was heading to the DZ Saturday morning, but hung out at home a few more mins, maybe fedex would be early, nope. Bummed out.....but when I got to manifest, Dan give's me a package with my new Michigan suit. There it was waiting on me, "Right on Mike, thumb's up."
We were working on hybrids that day, so I didn't freefly with it until sunday. I did hang a couple hangs and was on my belly the rest, I lead a tracking in the afternoon, too. But on sunday, we did freefly. It took me a few moments to adjust a little, but after landing, the Pro-track revealed a 145mph-avg/56sec head down jump. I am 215lbs exit weight. I went with baggy legs and loose arms, Chaps-style cut, in supplex nylon.
The construction is awesome. It's comfortable and has a nice, finished appearance inside and out. It fits like what I would imagine a custom suit fitting like. No need to send it back for any adjustment. I highly recommend it so far, will post again in a couple hundred jumps of use. Ordered 18 Feb, took delivery 20 Mar.
Thanks Mike, just a question, What's in the pipe?

Completely Satisfied
Rated by: pccoder on 2004-02-22 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Great Fit, Strong Material, Fast Delivery
Cons: None

This is my 1st freefly suit, but not my 1st suit. I used the DZ's suits for a quite a while before purchasing this one.

It took about 3 weeks to get this suit. I was able to download the bitmap that Mike uses on his website www.michigansuits.com and used MS Paint (keep it simple) to color the suit the way I wanted. Did my self measurements, emailed the bitmap, etc. to Mike. Called them that day and verified the measurements, etc. He was very helpful and had no problem taking time to discuss with me how I wanted the suit to fit and look. The suit was $250 plus shipping.

Overall, I am totally satisfied as this suit looks, feels and flys great. I even took the time to call Mike and let him know. Great suit, quick turnaround, good price.

Pros: Easy to work with
Cons: none to mention

After some miscommunication and a fix, things went a little out of wack, but they stood behind their work and got everything worked out. Great quality, and easy to deal with. They want happy satisfied customers.

Michigan Freefly Suit
Rated by: JohnnyZ on 2003-05-03 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Fast delivery, excellent looks and construction
Cons: None

If you want an excellent suit at a fair price and don't want to wait more than a month to get it, then this is the suit for you. I ordered mine on-line and recieved it 13 days later. Mike Michigan even called me the day he was to make it to make sure I didn't want to make any last minute changes. Perfect fit and awesome looks. This was my first Michigan suit, but it definitely won't be the last.

Review of: Freefly Suit in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

I currently own two freefly Michigan Suits. Of course I have good things to say about them, but I have a story to tell instead. I placed my online order for my new Michigan suit, and hit the "SEND" button. After reviewing my color choices I realized that I put the wrong colors in the wrong spots. oops! So I immediately called Mike and he noted the correction. 3 weeks later my awesome suit arrived and fit great. But wait, something didn't quite look right???? Well, the color change never made it through, and it got lost in the shuffle. I called Mike, he apologized, made no excuses. He asked if the suit fit well and if so, send it back and he will fix the color problems. I sent it back to him 2-day and called him on the day it was scheduled to arrive to confirm delivery. He said he received the suit and I should be getting mine in a day or two. Wow, how's that for service. He made me a new suit and sent it immediately, before the orginal even got back to him. Mike makes an awesome suit, the quality in construction, and customer service makes the Michigan suit, my suit of choice!
