Quasar II
Rated by: airtwardo on 2009-01-06 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Great fit, quality materials and manufacturing. Price
Cons: Cheapo hook knife

Mine is a custom designed rig for professional demonstrations.

Great comfortable fit with way above average workmanship.

Quick delivery time, and low price, even with additional requested bells & whistles not normally offered as options.

The redesigned reserve set up is remarkably better than any other I've seen...ground test at repack has the pilot-chute launch pulling the entire bridle to full extension and pulling the bag from the pack tray.

My Quasar has 250 (plus) jumps on it and still looks & feels like a brand new rig!

Love My Quasar
Rated by: fallingfaster on 2006-09-24 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Fits and feels great, simple and effective, Great customer service, Free updates!
Cons: Top of the reserve container is not covered, not really a con, just a design aspect

I bought my Quasar used, packed it up and jumped it. It's a shortie model and even though I'm 5'11 it fit me perfectly, without hip rings. When I sent my rig in to Strong for updates, they did a bunch of work and packed it up again for practically nothing! They even expedited my request and got my rig back to me before the big boogie! It's a great rig for a great price, top notch first rig. Thanks Strong!

Good-bye Mirage...........Hello Quasar II
Rated by: SkyChimp on 2006-06-30 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Patented positive reserve opening system, fantastic price, ABSOLUTE BEST customer service EVER !!!! AAA+++
Cons: I couldn't complain if you paid me......

First let's start with customer service. Strong Enterprises STRIVES at all cost to make jumpers happy. They have excellent turn time on building new rigs and stand behind their products 125%.

The patented spring flaps in the reserve system are a major PLUS! When I popped my reserve for repack, the pilot and bridal came out to full extension in a split second because those side flaps clear theirselves of the pilot chute. You don't need those 40 lbs springs like other manufacturers to clear all that material in the way.

Comfort is 2nd to none! It's feels great suited up and while under canopy. This container in a short time will replace those "designer" groupies fairly quickly.

I highly recomend you buy one

Quasar II
Rated by: diverb on 2006-06-06 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Excellent quality for the price and customer service
Cons: None that I can think of

I’m a new jumper and wanted to buy my first rig. The QUASAR II from Strong Enterprises had everything that I was looking for a price that I could afford. What impressed me most was the customer service from Mike their sales representative. After receiving my order, Mike contacted me to confirm my size & weight and ask about any options that I wanted. Once my canopies were made and shipped to Strong, I was contacted that they had arrived and was given a around about date as to when I could expect to have my rig shipped to me.

The container & harness is really comfortable and I received several comments on its look and color scheme at my DZ. My rigger checked out my rig before I made my first jump and he commented on the high quality workmanship. I told him what I paid for it and he was very impressed with the Quasar II for the amount of money. Once again I want to stress that the Quasar II is a very comfortable harness while under canopy and is barely noticeable in the plane. It’s super easy to pack and the container holds the bag and lines securely. Thanks for building such a great rig Mike!

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: High quality rig, great customer service
Cons: None

I recently purchased a new Quasar II. What a great rig! I am impressed with the quality, price, features and the short two week delivery time. The customer service has been outstanding. I needed a minor modification done after I first jumped it. It was completed quickly and my rig returned ready to jump. I am very impressed with the sales and rigging staff at Strong Enterprises. Don't be fooled by the low price. This is a top quality, well built rig. Robert Pope Jr. Tampa, FL

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: 2 week custom build
Cons: no cons I see

Dont be fooled by the low price or quick building time this unit is all quality. Features found on this rig cant be found elsewhere and standard the spring loaded reserve flap what a nice saftey add on standard!!! The craftmanship is second to none as I have inspected many different containers and would rate this with the best. Custom fit is a great match for me like riding in my own easy chair. Vibrant colors that call attention to my rig as mine is allways complimented on. If you are looking for a great quality reasonablely priced container that offers the most features and saftey for your dollar look no farther. Thanks for the great service Mike you rock.

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: Great rig, exceptional customer service
Cons: none

I recently purchased a Quasar II. It's beautiful! The quality, the features, the price, and the customer service make this rig a great choice. Strong Enterprises' personnel are personable, knowledgable and helpful. My husband is in the process of having Strong put a Quasar together for him.

I just wanted to agree with the positive comments from my wife about the Quasar II, and add a few more words of praise. The Quasar is the most comfortable and the easiest to pack rig I have ever used. I also like the new reserve deployment mechanism. The extra one or two seconds it gives you during a malfunction may come in handy someday. Larry

Good bargain
Rated by: starkmtn on 2004-08-03 (user profile) (user reviews)

Review of: Quasar II in Unknown Tag: 'cat_linked'

Pros: good price; no pop-top exposure; big-ass reserve pilot chute!
Cons: not the comfiest out there; big-ass reserve pilot chute (when packing)

My Quasar IIS is five years old and I've been quite pleased. I was in college when I bought it and needed something in the low end of the price range. It's now my CRW rig and I can't complain. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but it has served me quite well. I like that there's no exposed pop-top to get snagged by a line when I'm doing CRW. I also like the HUGE reserve pilot chute - I _know_ that thing's going to sproing out there like a mofo and pull that reserve out with it! Of course, it gave me a black eye when I was trying to pack it, so that's a downside if you're a rigger I guess. As for customer service, I must have gotten lucky. When I needed a new cutaway handle, it arrived even more promptly than they had promised on the phone. They also got me a new pilot chute quickly when my old one developed a rip in it. So YMMV.
