How do you care for a new rig?

I just bought a used but never jumped rig (J3, spectre 170, PD160R, and a cypress)and have no idea how to take car of it. I know that the manufacturer's literature will come with it and have advice, but what else should I do to make sure that it is kept in tip top shape.
Dont forget to make a nice place for it on the bed next to you at night, with a pillow and some warm blankets. Introduce it to all your friends and family immediately to prevent them from rejecting it later, and to promote appropriate social behavior(whatever that is). Be sure to feed it every chance you get when the sun is out, and explain to it why it cant go play when its rainy, windy, or to cold. A steady diet of air, grass, and packmat should keep it feeling good and looking great!!!
