I have a little question about a streamered main. I know how to recognize a streamer (i.e. no slider visible, canopy not developing), and have seen them on video and know they are not correctable. My question is what causes a streamer in terms of packing errors? How would you go about packing a streamer? No, I dont plan on packing one, but wonder what causes them. Anyone know?
Short of gross negligence...I have seen streamers develop from tension knots. Those can be caused by not being carefull with your lines and stowing them properly. A line can form a loop and catch around another line causing a tension knot and creating a massive ball of crap above your head. Thats one way to get em.
