Booties
Can't Post
How much difference does using booties make? I've done a couple of WARP jumps without booties and can fly ok without them, but I would like to hear everyone's opinions on them so I know what to expect.

You can miss out on a record jump if you bootie comes off mid-jump.
Seriously though, they make a huge difference. A lot of folks liken it to "power steering" and that's not too far off.
I did an RW jump with just my freefly clothes (not a suit, just bagy clothes) on last weekend because I wanted to see how I'd do. I made it in OK, but everything felt "mushy" to me.
Then I put my RW suit on for the remaining jumps. It reconfirmed what a difference the booties make. I felt much more in control & able to make more minute adjustments than without them.
If you do get them, be aware that you get *serious* forward drive with them. So you're likely to blow past the formation until you get the feel for them.
Good luck!
