Hey everyone. I'm new to skydiving (my first jump is in 5 days, weather permitting) Just wanted to introduce myself real quick! I decided to take the static line course at my local DZ. I anticipate myself becoming an addict, so we shall see! I'll report back after 2/2/13!

Welcome to the wonderful world of cloud watching At least you are going for static line.. around here this time of year that is indeed a wise decision. AFF students in this area can spend an inordinate amount of time looking for full altitude.. at least you can work up to longer jumps as the weather improves between now and May.

That is literally the exact reason I chose static line. I was told I would be able to jump much more often! I want to have my "A" license by the Summer... Thanks for the welcome, everyone...
