Welcome to the forums! Smile Your home dz has a good reputation, you should be able to learn a lot from the locals there. Take it all in and listen to them about safety!

Welcome, Chad!

I strongly recommend that you talk to Chuck Akers there at Spaceland...in addition to your instructors, of course.

Chuck is one of the old timers and is seriously all about skydiving safety...which, believe me, is where you want to be, too. Tell him I said hello.

Blue Skies, my friend,
Andy

You're at spaceland, that's a great start. They have incredible instructors and fun jumpers. Check out the new tunnel in Austin, have fun.

Your at the right DZ at the right time. Great equipment, great jump ships, great swoop pond, heck great everything! If you live in that area, I'd make it my home DZ! Take it all in & enjoy yourself. Good luck, stay safe.

Hello Boyd's!!!!!!

Welcome! I'm actually planning on going to Skydive Spaceland this summer. My mom also plans on doing her first tandem then as well. 18k jumps are a blast! And unfortunately my local DZ won't go above ~13k :P

Chuck and Marian helped me earn my 8-way SCR on jump 43. They are awesome organizers and instructors. I am blessed to have Spaceland and their instructors as my home DZ. I am learning so much!
