Ok, so this is probably a newbie question. I have a J4, into which my rigger says that a Tempo 210 won't fit and that it would cause damage to the container. However, the suggested reserves for that rig are PD176-RavenII. The Raven II is a 218. How does this make sense? What am I missing?

While getting a second opinion is your prerogative, keep in mind it is your riggers prerogative to say he won't pack it.
Different companies measure differently and even use different materials to build their canopies.
