Low bulk reserves Can't Post

I seem to remember that one of the canopy manufacturers was working on a low bulk reserve parachute to rival the Optimum... Icarus maybe? Does anyone have any current details?

Paratec speed reserve packs as small as an optimum

Had some info given there that Aerodyne are working on a low volume reserve.

Speeds do pack small too. Got a Speed 135 in a container that had an R-Max 138. The Speed is much softer than the R-Max was.

It is supposedly lower bulk than colored canopies. The theory is that the darker colors are bulkier than lighter ones. I don't think anyone has been able to accurately measure out how much more bulky colored fabrics are but I think the general consensus is that it does pack marginally smaller... Marginally.

Whether dye makes a difference to pack volume or not, it's worth remembering that people still typically associate white with reserve canopies - so it's easier for someone to identify you after a cutaway.
