Nikon N3 Right Angle Plug Can't Post

Been searching for one...

Anybody know where I can find one?

Or possibly take a straight neck N3 plug and modify it to a 90 deg plug?

Planning to take a generic blow switch and splice it onto a N3 plug.

I am aware there is a product that does the job (blow switch with Nikon N3 plug) but it's way overpriced ($90 last I checked).

I know I can do the job myself much cheaper with a straight neck plug but would prefer a 90 degree plug if it exists.

Thanks

Why not get your switches ready-made from Laszlo? He sells both complete switches and adapters for the "regular" switches.

I paid much less than usd 90 per switch Smile

do you mean Canon N3 or some other Nikon connector?
(N3 is connector for Canon 1D, XD, XXD (except 60D) ranges and is always angled)
which camera do you have or how many pins have it's connector?

Go here:

http://pc-mobile.net/nikongps.htm

Scroll to near the bottom. They have nice 90 degree angled plugs with adapters so you can use standard 2.5 mm plugs, or cut and splice. They mail them out from Hong Kong, so allow a couple weeks for delivery. They work well for me and are cheap enough that I bought extras.

Those plugs do not seem to have the ring to tighten the connection. Trust me, for skydiving, you do want that ring. The ones Lazslo sells do Angelic

Hmm... Wouldn't wrapping some gaffers tape take care of that?

If not, I might just splice wires together... That should be secure enough, wouldn't it?

I did take a look at Lazslo's website... Didn't see anything (I probably didn't spend enough time or effort to find what I needed, tho)...

Also, I'm gonna be wearing a deepseed sock so the cable and adapter should be shrouded in the sock, away from the wind.

Thanks for the tip, I'll certainly will keep that in mind!
