Buying a Camera Helmet

Im sure this has been asked before so I apologize if any veterans feel like m wasting your time. I did search for it before posting, but nothing came up.
Anyways, im looking to buy a helmet and have a couple of questions. Would it be dumb to buy a open face helmet with mounting surface now with the intention of putting cameras on it later? I dont have 200 jumps yet but I know that once I get more comfortable and more jumps I will mount a gopro or something to my helmet, so it seems silly to me to buy a helmet now just to buy a more camera friendly one later.

yes, buy a helmet now that is going to protect your head. after 200 jumps, buy what u need. camera specifc helmets are not the best for protecting your melon.
