video editing software (free)	Can't Post

anyone know any good PC programs that are free and good for editing videos?

i had a program i liked but i can't for the life of me remember what it was and i reinstalled windows and lost it :(

i won't like windows movie maker. if there is the ability to split audio tracks i haven't figured it out yet. :(

You can split audio tracks... what version?

You will need additional software to burn to DVD's.

Edited to add...

Oopps.... It's been a while since I used Movie Maker. What we do is copy and paste the (audio)track. Then shorten the clips (end of the first, beginning of the second) to desired length. Not the best solution, but it works. Smile

Check for the free/open source.
I've used Cinelerra a while ago and it was pretty good. I've used on Ubuntu linux.

Edit to add: Cinelerra has a live cd version http://cinelerra.org/...cinelerra.php#livecd
