There's a reason for that being where it is in the SIM. You, having more experience, would, hopefully, be able to handle the problem it could create.

Let's not encourage young jumpers to ignore the SIM recommendations, eh?

I thought I read something about when the Army was testing two outs they decided that the flare didn't add anything to the landing of a biplane?
