Canopy coaching course
Yesterday I learn't a WHOLE bundle about how to fly a canopy. A local jumper who has been the national swooping champ ran a small course for a handful of us.
It didn't follow a prescribed agenda, Cam just spent significant time debriefing each of us, videoing landings and working on weak points. Watching your landing on video at 1/10th speed reply for the last 100ft with a running commentary on everything, is a major eye opener.
It is well worth doing - and I've already committed to the next session that he holds.
A couple of other events from the weekend, first time being the 'up jumper' on the load. Even though we are all licensed and there is no 'jump master' at our DZ, it was a slightly odd feeling. I discovered that 3 jumpers in a C182 is very comfortable!
