The left side riser/release loop is exceptionally long, with a whole lot of the cable exposed past the loop.

The three rings are not threaded right.

Yep, all those except the 3 rings (they are correct), looks like the cutaway cable was snagged and pulled out of the channel at some point.

3 ring set up is OK. In this picture there is no tension on them. The ring web attachment will be against the ring below when under full load.

Smile
Air getting under student's goggles, probably making it harder to see, diminishing the value of the jump she paid for. Instructor might have done better to ensure the goggles were tight & properly placed, but it could be due to using Kroops, as they are notorious for having crappy elastics that wear out quickly.

Not exactly a great arch at the hips either.

Most TI's I know don't put a helmet on tandem students, the only ones I have ever seen actually put them on is at the tandem course, they put people in frap hats.

"The benefits of providing tandem students with altimeters greatly outweigh the minimal additional costs. Training students thoroughly for their skydives, including information on how to check altitude, can only improve the overall safety of skydiving for both students and instructors. Student altimeters provide valuable back-up for instructors if their altimeters fail, and using them allows students to become active participants in their jumps."

OK. I'm not sure of the point here. It's required.

The contracts I signed with the Manufacturers,.. which falls under the FAR's.
Are there no more contracts with the manufacturers or are we just not reviewing them after being signed?

Oy! The manufacturers of the... helmets? harnesses? I would like to know this, as I have gone on three tandem dives and got only a frap hat each time!

As far as the student not having an alti - that's also a big no-no! I did notice the left RSL line was out of its channel a bit - not quite where you want it.

I appreciate the time and effort spent providing this information.

Evidently, something has changed since I signed my contracts with a couple of the manufacturers and stand corrected.

From the search function: http://www.dropzone.com/...post=3494248#3494248

I guess I'm left with no more than an "opinion" that if one feels the necessity to wear a brain bucket on their behalf; they should be inclined to do as much; if not more for the student.

And, we know of one such student that "might" have had a better outcome if more than just a frap hat.

http://www.dropzone.com/...post=1639462#1639462 Scroll down for the finality of the situation.

In closing, I guess it's just one person's opinion.

That quote must be from before he backed the BOD when they deleted the requirement on Tandem Student to have a Altimeter, and before he started saying to many that the Alti on the T-I was "available" for the Student if need be.

Some may THINK she's flashing the sign for "Rock & Roll," But with her thumb sticking out, it's the sign language abbreviation for "I love you."
