@Dse. I put the clips on the computer. You can watch each one of them fine. When I drag them over to put the video together one of them or some of them just comes out black, but it is still there on the other side and you can play it by itself.
You hear the audio when you first download it. Not when you drag it over. But you hear the other ones that come over. Not sure about the other but should it matter if 4 out of 5 come over fine? I am not changing anything in between takes.

The files originated from a Replay. I tried what ou suggested last week and it did solve he issue. The Vegas is Sony Vegas 9. It says it is compatible with Vegas 8.

Yes, RePlay files are actually compatible with all version of Vegas post version 5. Have you uninstalled DVDA? Changed any prefs? (thirdparty codec pref) Files are on HDD or on card?
