adamUK  (C 104423) Jul 16, 2012, 9:37 AM Post #1 of 1 (498 views) Shortcut High performance canopy data for Wikipedia Can't Post Hi, Being the public-spirited person that I am I thought I'd update the data on parachute canopy performance characteristics on this page (about 2/3rds of the way down) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speed_flying I don't have data for: Max Glide Ratio Speed Range Aspect Ratio Range The current data for parachutes are as follows: Max Glide Ratio: 3:1 Speed Range: 25–70 km/h (15–45 mph) Aspect Ratio Range: 2:1–3:1 I know things have moved on in the world of canopy piloting so if anyone has better data then could you post here (and give any references if you can) Many thanks Adam.
