Upgrade "original" hybryd JVX-99 (DOM 2007) to current design

Hi! My friend would like upgrade "original" hybrid JVX-99 (DOM 2007) with only 3 jumps to current design. What he need? Need a new standard slider size of 29 X 24 inches (no side flaps) with a new upper brake line configuration? Other option - trade for JVX-89 (hi lost some weight) to keep WL around 2.3 on JVX-89. How much it will cost to him?

I measured "original" slider with side flaps - 24x36 with flaps or 24x30 (if i cut them off), very similar to current 24x29. What about "new upper brake line configuration"?
