1) Try posting this question in the wingsuit forum a little farther down the page here at DZ.com.

2) Also, try adding some info about yourself, your wingsuiting experience and your goals over the next two years or so. It'll make giving advice easier and more appropriate for you.

Shadow. It is nice to fly hands free, which the Shadow is made for. Other than that they are quite identical

What do you plan to do? If acrobatics and docking, Shadow. If flocking and performance, Phantom.

PS: Order soon, the lead time is long ... Unsure

Agree with both Butters & the Bird Doc.

Although there's one other factor - how big a boy are ya?

I fly a Shadow, because at 5'5" / 125 lbs, I had to fly with arms swept back in order to flock in a P2. A shadow better suits the middle of my range.

That being said, you can flock in either, or do acro in either. Jarno flies his Shadow quite a bit, and does just about everything in it. So unless you're really big and going to need the surface area, or really small and going to need less surface area, I think you can't go wrong with either. Smile

Phantom 3. With all the bitching on here regarding equipment, only three things are universally agreed:

1. PF Phantom 3 is a great all-round wingsuit

2. PD Sabre 2 is a great all-round canopy

3. everything Larsen & Brusgaard make is great
