Need some help here
Can't Post
Ok so here it goes, im kinda new to the whole skydiving thing, iv done tandum 3 times and because of a recent spike in income (deployment) im ready to take my class a licencse class. What im looking at now is exactly how the class system works and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how much im spending and whatnot. The place im taking the class is called start skydiving and its in ohio, they are charging me 2500 for my cert, that includes 25 jumps, flight ticket, repacking. I was just wondering if this was a decent price or if i should shop around a bit more. I want to at some point in time become a instructor and figured this was the best way to start.
Thank you in advanced for even taking the time to read this.
You can visit the web sites of some of the larger DZs and get exact numbers and offerings. The package you mentioned sounds about normal in price to some that I recall. Maybe a little on the lower cost side, but they say, "You get what you pay for". I would not let 10% cost difference take me to a different DZ if I was happy with one already.
Thanks alot guys this helps a decent amount, but i just reseverd my class at startskydiving for 2500, hope its all its cracked up to be, shortly after that ill be inquiring about some decent places to order full systems after i do a little more research. again thanks for all the support and happy flying lol
Hi, My A cost about $2400 all said & done. I'm sorry you plunked down cash before doing a bit more research. You have other options. For example, The Farm would only charge you about $1700 for the same thing. They're very good. Accommodations are cheap. You could do the whole thing in less than two weeks. You also probably have options for doing a lot of this through the military.
Good Luck & Have Fun w/whatever way you choose.

Welcome to the forums! I don't know the current costs of getting one's A license these days. They didn't have all these coach jump requirements when I started skydiving. Do you get a refund if you decide skydiving isn't for you?
