Best place to start jumping/ Northern Louisiana?

Hi all,
I'm new to the sport, and I'm looking for a dropzone to do AFF and hopefully get an A license.
I currently live in Shreveport, LA, and I am leaning towards skydive dallas, but I am also considering dropzones in Baton Rouge, Gilliam, and Vivian Louisiana.
Anyone have any experience with these places or advice you would care to pass my way?

Vivian is a nice, friendly 2 Cessna DZ with a good crew of local jumpers who love the sport. They currently only offer static line and IAD training. It is also close to Shreveport. I can't give any opinion on Gillam, because I haven't jumped there yet. If you're dead set on AFF you might consider Skydive Dallas. It is a very nice, large dz with great facilities and two turbine aircraft, but is a long drive from Shreveport. Good luck selecting a dz for your training.
