Pam Pangburn Can't Post

Pam Pangburn, beloved member of the CRW community, was killed yesterday when she was struck by a car while riding a bicycle.

She will be dearly missed.

That is such a shock. She was the most gentle soul, with a persistent smile. My heart goes out to Brian!

This is very sad news, almost always sat across from her when she was shooting for Frayed Knot, listening to Joe recite his poetry for the whole airplane!

I only met the Pangburns one time, but they were the nicest people I've ever jumped with. Brian is a top-notch crwdog and Pam was a crw videographer.

Brian was nice enough to send me a DVD of how to pack a Lightning, and I sent it on to another aspiring crwdog somewhere in Florida. Hopefully he has continued the pay-it-forward mentality and someone else is benefitting from it.

Brian, I am so sorry... Frown

Blue Skies, Pam.
We will miss that smile that could light up an entire DZ.

A wonderful video, put together by Pam's friend, Eli, was shown at her memorial service this weekend. Seeing Pam in these photos makes me very sad that I'll not see her again on some DZ somewhere. She always brought such brightness to anyplace she was. Fly Free, Pam.

Eli's video is here:

Very nice (and moving) photo/video tribute. I didn't know Pam but send my sincerest condolences to a fellow skydiver. Prayers for her husband, Brian, are on the way as well.

I almost had the honor of meeting Brian and Pam just before this tragic event. My heart goes out to Brian. Hope to meet you in the sky in a CReW jump my friend.

Re: [faulknerwn] Pam Pangburn [In reply to] Can't Post

I am deeply shocked by this, I met Brian and Pam at the 2007 World record and after at other events, what a lovely couple there were.

My heart goes out to Brian what a loss to both Brian and the CRW community.

I hope Brian makes a full recovery.

And may Pam rest in peace, god be with you x
