Anybody jump in Thailand? Can't Post

I'm looking to head there in a few months and was curious if any fun jumpers have any info or experiences to share.

Thank you!

There is a blip in the May Parachutist about a boogie in Thailand, on p22. Check it out, maybe it would be a good place to jump.

Be advised that they are a MANDATORY AAD Dropzone, and
they allow low hook turns but only under these conditions
Quote:
Also only those who have previously spent time in Hospital after being injured carrying out low hook turns are permitted to do them at our DZ

That's where i'm planning on going. I'm looking to jump as much as possible, how many loads can a guy get on an average january day? It looks like they only have one plane, does that mean low load numbers?

Hows the party scene, language barrier, stuff like that.

Thanks!

you should easily do 6+ a day (shut on tuesdays and last lift must land by 5pm). they're getting a 2nd porter and moving to a purpose built dz sometime next year but january is probably a bit early for that. weather is beautiful and everyone speaks english (staff are english, american, canadian, german and new zealand). there's the usual beer scene after last load for an hour or two and then the bus takes anyone who wants to pattaya if you want to carry on with the partying.

blue skies,

kevin...

i think i got that price right - but double check with the dz. they're not cheap as they have the market pretty much cornered in that part of the world. they are very professional though and very friendly.
