PC7e came neutered by Sony. This means it will not accept DV in unless it is modified. You will need to buy an adaptor (PC7E requires VMC-LM7 Lanc Adaptor) and some sort of widget to re write the firm ware inside the cam. Run a google search for 'dv in enable' to find a suitable local retailer.
Otherwise you won't be able to edit to the cam, or share footage with friends.
I'm not sure what you mean by the lens question, generally speaking wide angle video adaptors don't work that well on stills lenses......
