stowing sigma vectran	Can't Post

Has UPT offered a recommended procedure for stowing the new Vectran line on Sigma canopies? With Icarus we used to use larger, not tandem rubber bands, being careful not to let the stoe get to large in fear of bag locks.

we use the small sport skydiver bands on the side stows and tandem band on the grommet stows.

on vectran that is.

Do you mean micro bands for the side and one inch tandem bands thru the grommets? How about doubling the medium bands for the side?

We don't use the one inch bands but the slightly narrower tandem bands in the orange and blue box (can't remember off hand what the brand is called).

I prefer not to double stow.

Using the mini bands just seems right and double stowing seems wrong, and the bands seem to last longer when they are the right size.

The big bands fit well through the grommets and where you are stowing the line above the cascade, then below the cascades, (on the side stows) the mini bands re perfect, and you get more per pound... so economically it makes sense too.

on my 365 I use normal large rubber bands, (not tandem) and single the first 2 and double everything else. I did the same when I jumped the sigma2.

Sometimes I use a tandem band on the first 2, if thats what I have available.

The packing video covers micro line/vectran type line I believe.

tube stows for center locking stows-
everything else gets "dacron" or "medium rubber bands" double stowed.
If there is any doubt why not call UPT? I'm sure they would be happy to help you =)
