1993 javelin

Can someone tell me what makes a 93 javelin not freefly friendly. i just bought one for 900 bucks with a 1997 raven 2 reserve. the container has no velcro all tuck in tabs. it look brand new, like it was just out of the box, no dirt no fading, rips, tears. i keep reading jav's were not FF friendly until 1997 but when i put mine next to a 2000 jav it looks almost identical. i know i'm not ready for freefly yet this is my first rig and it is only a question. i plan on putting spectre 210 in it for a main
i dont see why its not freefly friendly mate, i had a 1995 javelin which as far as i know is the same as yours and i did heaps of freefly jumps on it no worries, U may have to get a leg strap bungy put on it though. cheers
Thx for the info guys, but the more I inspect this rig the more goodies I'm finding. Since one of the owners of this rig was a rigger, think he solve most the the problems. The shoulder riser tuck tabs are extra stiff, the reserve pin cover has tuck tabs on the side as well as the bottom. There is a pocket the leads into the boc pouch so no part of the bridle is exposed. I'll post pictures soon so u guys can see it.

The riser tuck tabs not only need to stay closed when you want them to stay closed, they need to open when you need them to open.
In the US, changing the stiffness of the riser tuck tabs is an alteration that needs approval from the FAA or the manufacturer. Without that approval, the rig is not legal to jump. Also, if the riser covers do not release on opening, or if they release unevenly, your rig may be unsafe to jump.
Changing the tuck tabs on the reserve pin cover flap is also an alteration. This is less likely to be a safety issue, but is still illegal in the US unless approved by the FAA or manufacturer.
Thx for the info mark, I just received an email from sunpath. I sent them the s/n# and they sent me any info on alterations the have done in the past. Sunpath replaced to tabs on the shoulders back in 06 and the tab on the reserve cover. They had no record of the bridle cover that was added, so I assume the rigger did that mod. I'm sending it into sunpath this morning for inspection.

Please post a photo of the tab on the reserve cover. You say that Sunpath made this change?
Also, you mentioned that the rig has a BOC pocket now. Did it originally?
