I will make arrangement for a shipping company that will be coming over to pick up the rig soon as we have a deal on these. Which i will need your full name, contact address with your cell# so i can be able to send out a certified cashiers check to you for instant cashing.Hope to hear from you soon.
DO NOT do business with anyone who offers to send you payment for a higher amount than your selling price with the understanding that you'll send back the balance.
Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be acting on behalf of a "client" or another "customer".
Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from Nigeria or West Africa
If you agree to accept a check payment, then do not send anything, gear or "change" before the check cleared. And be careful, if you manage to clear a fraudulent check then you may be liable for the damages if the bank finds out later. Make sure your bank authenticates the check.
If it sounds to good to be true, then it probably is.

He contacted me as username "d_12". I should have checked this forum before asking for a payment. Received a check for $3,000 for a $1,300 sale. Reading back through the emails it should have been obvious, but I've been unloading a ton of gear and it sort of slipped by.
Never sent the canopy or tried to deposit the check, of course.
EDIT: I should add that he never offered a higher amount. He actually tried to bargain on the price. It wasn't until I actually received the check that I saw he had added $1700 for "shipping".
