Aerodyne ZPX colors...
Can't Post
I'm looking to order a new Pilot in ZPX
Problem is that its a crap shoot on colors because Aerodyne wont provide me any swatches or even photo's of the ZPX fabric and on-line coloring programs just dont tell you what its really going to look like.
They have a somewhat limited color selection in ZPX and gave the colors funny names. I cant tell if "Fire" is actually red or a different color all together.
Anyone have any decent photo's of their ZPX canopies???
HEy mate, Send me your email. I have sold my fair share of ZPX canopies and can get my customers to send their photos out to you. The last one i had at my place was a Sunburst and Fire ZPX. Looked awesome. The red is like a crimson but a bit lighter. There is a similar theme with all the colours, they have this certain tone to them, almost like a 'pastel' tone, maybe that is not the best way to say it, maybe a 'crayon' tone. Just the colours are very soft.
So you are not going to get a really bright red, more like a soft red
Hard to explain but hope my description put some sort of imagine in your mind. Anyway, through me your email and I will get some photos sent to you. My email is Gary@karnagekrew.com
Thank you!!! Did they send all the colors or just a few?
I wont know till they get here but I'm gonna assume they sent all the colors that are available currently. Tracking info say it'll be here the 3rd. I'll make sure to post pix...
I have a combo in Margarita, Chrome and Ocean Blue. I would say the attached picture is fairly accurate for these colors. Chrome is not so strong when canopy is open in the sky, appearance is almost towards light grey. I like the combo though. Packing is still challenging, even after 60+ jobs. ZPX is very slippery.
Thanks for the post! I've been looking at the Pilot myself and have been having problems figuring out a good color scheme. It helps to see the real deal.
Funny! I was under the impression that Performance Designs always measured span across the bottom skin. At the 2001 PIA Symposium, Icarus announced that they were changing their measuring method from the old Para-Flite/PISA/PIA method (6 inches back from the top leading edge) to PD's method.
