USPA's website has a gallery with all the covers since 1957. Pretty interesting and awesome. I'm sure there is some stories from you guys to go along with some of those photo's. http://www.uspa.org/...bid/501/Default.aspx

I still have a lot of them in a box in my garage. I subscribed to Parachutist, Sky Diver, Spotter, and DZ USA back then and have issues from 1965 to 1976. I sold a few of the older ones a while back but probably have fifty left.

I think Matt Farmer invented that.
In 1975 I was driving over to the Gulch from Los Angeles every weekend, and he had constructed some skydiver stick-men out of pipe cleaners, and assembled them into a sphere.
A year or two later at Pope Valley I watched a group trying to dirt dive it (pretty funny), and then go up and try to do it (not even close).
Maybe it's possible now with all the freeflying skills that have developed.

Is that Patrick Swayze on the November 1991 cover?
That's Jake Lombard and Jeff Habberstad in the photo. One of them is Patrick Swayze's stunt double. However Swayze did make enough skydives himself to get his A license. From Point Break in case it isn't obvious.
