Is it possible to configure our profiles so only friends can see certain data?
IE: IM, email, guestbook etc.?
Currently the friends function's only uses are organization, allows you to see which friends are on (overriding the invisible setting), and they can post to your guestbook.
If we could choose to control access to certain data in our profiles to only friends, more people might find value and use for it.

You can already set your friends list to be visible to friends only. Click on the "Edit" link atop the list. We will definitely roll this out for the Guestbook and probably for other info on your profile as well.
